Any chance I get, I try to be outside. It's really hot these days, but I try to not care. Being inside all day makes me appreciate beautiful Orange County. These days, the skies are a deep shade of blue, with no clouds at all, and the sun is unrelentingly hot. In the afternoons though, there are great big billowy clouds that look like plumes of smoke on the horizon behind the mountains. They are simply enormous, a product of the intense heat building up in the canyons surrounding the mountains. It looks like I could just take a nap on one of them... float away to some peaceful lagoon in paradise. With such a dreary work schedule, little things help every single day. I look forward to the tiny joys of going outside and just...being. Looking at these clouds helps me regroup and stay grounded so I can continue another day.
